D41 has continued to experience significant challenges with Safeway Transportation Services. The Board of Education has now terminated transportation services with Safeway for both regular and special education services effective at the close of business on December 19, 2025.

Building on the success of last year’s book study, the Board recently announced a Board Community Book Club and selected What School Could Be by Ted Dintersmith.
